Nvidia Inc. (en-VID-ee-ο) is an American multinational technology company founded in Delaware and based in Santa Clara, California. It designs GPUs for professional markets and games, as well as a system on soCs for mobile computing and the automotive market. The BASIC GPU line, called "GeForce", is in direct competition with the graphics processing units of the Brand "Radin" by small advanced devices (AMD). Nvidia has expanded its presence in the gaming industry through handheld gaming consoles Shield Portable, Shield Tablet, Shield Android TV and GeForce Now cloud gaming service. in addition to the manufacture of the GPU, Nvidia provides parallel processing capabilities for researchers and scientists that allow them to run high-performance applications efficiently. They are posted on ultra-compotening sites around the world. More recently, it has moved into the mobile computing market, where Tegra mobile processors are produced for smartphones and tablets as well as vehicle navigation and entertainment systems. Nvidia is also now focused on artificial intelligence. In addition to AMD, its competitors include Intel and Qualcomm.
