Interactive Brokers LLC (IB) is an American multinational brokerage firm. It operates the largest e-trading platform in the United States in terms of average daily revenue transactions. The company mediates stocks, options, futures, EFPs, futures options, fok, bonds and funds. The company is headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut and has offices in four cities. It is the largest subsidiary of the intermediation group Interactive Brokers Group, founded by Chairman Thomas Petrvi, an early innovator in computer-aided trading. THE IB IS REGULATED BY THE U.S. SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION, THE FINANCIAL INDUSTRY REGULATORY AUTHORITY, THE NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE, THE COMMODITY FUTURES TRADING COMMISSION, THE NATIONAL FUTURES TRADING ASSOCIATION, CHICAGO SECURITIES TRADING AND OTHER SELF-REGULATING ORGANIZATIONS. The company is a provider of full disclosure brokers accounts, omnibus, and undisclosed, and provides correspondent clearing services to 200 brokers entering worldwide. The company serves 607,000 customer brokerage accounts, with US$128.4 billion in customer rights. The Interactive Brokers Group owns 40 percent of OneChicago Futures Exchange, a equity partner and founder of the Boston Options Exchange.
