American Financial Group Main Insurance Division operates on behalf of the Great American Insurance Company, founded in 1872, and focuses on property and injury insurance services. Other subsidiaries and subsidiaries include Great American Habit, Mid-Continent Group, National Paint and Republic Compensation. Additional insurance specialties (to name but a few) include strength, trucks, executive responsibility, loyalty and crime, and agribusiness. Great American Financial Resources is a wholly owned subsidiary of the U.S. Financial Group and supplies a range of annuities, life insurance products and supplementary insurance to individuals and companies. parent company, AFG, is mainly owned by the family of financier Carl Lindner, Jr., who bought the company in 1973 and served as chairman until his death in 2011.
