Synopsys is an American electronic design automation company focused on silicon design and verification, silicon IP, software security and quality. Products include logic aggregation, behavioral synthesis, location and route, static timing analysis, official verification, device description language (SystemC, SystemVerilog/Verilog, VHDL) emulators, and transistor-level simulations. Simulators include development and correction environments that help design the logic of chips and computer systems. In recent years, Synopsys has expanded its products and services to include application security testing. Technology found in self-driving cars, artificial intelligence, and Internet of Things consumer products. Abstracts was founded by Art J.D. Geos and David Gregory in 1986 in Triangle Park Research, North Carolina. The company was initially established as the ideal solution with a charter for the development and marketing of installation technology developed by GE's team.
