Trade Roche Holding
F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG is a Swiss multinational healthcare company operating worldwide under two parts: medicines and diagnostics. Its holding company, Roche Holding, has shares of a shareholder listed on the Swiss Stock Exchange. The company is headquartered in Basel. Roche is the world's largest pharmaceutical company and the world's leading cancer treatment company. The company is controlled by U.S. biotech company Genentech, a wholly owned subsidiary, and Japanese biotechnology company Chugai Pharmaceuticals, as well as U.S.-based Ventana. Roche's revenue for fiscal year 2018 was 56.85 billion Swiss francs, or approximately US$57 billion. The descendants of the Hoffman and Oyre founding families own just over half of the holding shares with voting rights (a group of 45% family shareholders, and another 5% Maga Uri separately), with Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis owning another third of its shares. Roche is one of the few companies to increase its profits each year, for 2018 as 32 years in a row. F. Hoffman La Roche is a full member of the European Union of Industries and Pharmaceutical Associations (EFPIA).
