Trade Nikola Corporation
Nicola is an American company that has introduced a number of zero-emission vehicle concepts since 2016. The company has stated on several occasions that it intends to take some of the vehicles into production in the future. Nicola's company is based in Phoenix, Arizona. The company was named after Nikola Tesla but had nothing to do with the inventor. As of September 2020, the company is under investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Justice over allegations of securities fraud. Nicola was founded by Trevor Milton in 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah.As of 2016, and the first 5,000 Nikola single hydrogen hydrogen trucks were to be built by Fitzgerald in Birdstown, Tennessee, which produces "gliders," which are engineless truck platforms. In March 2019, Nicolas acquired a 389-acre plot of land in College, Arizona, for $23 million, with tax breaks for future local states and acres. Nicola said in 2019 that they expect to start building the truck factory in 2020, build trucks in 2021, and manufacture 35-50,000 trucks a year by 2023.In February 2019, Mark Russell has been appointed president of the company. Russell was most recently president and CEO of Nicola Investor, Worthington Industries. In April 2019, Nicola held a Global Nicola Event in Scottsdale, Arizona. The two-day midweek event included a public trial day to show Nicola Serre, Nicola Tree, Nicola nztut and Nicolas Voix Kraft.
