It was founded by Johnny Bryan Hunt and Gunnell Hunt in Arkansas on August 10, 1961. By 1983, J.B Hunt had grown to become the 80 largest trucking companies in the United States with revenues of $623.47 million. At the time J.B. Hunt was running 550 tractors, 1049 trailers, and had approximately 1,050 employees. J.B. Hunt operates primarily on large semi-trailer trucks and provides transportation services throughout the United States of America, Canada and mainland Mexico. The company currently employs more than 24,000 trucks and operates more than 12,000 trucks. The company's fleet consists of more than 100,000 trailers and containers. company was founded in 1961.
