Hub Group (NASDAQ: HUBG) is a North American supply chain solutions company, providing transportation management and logistics solutions across many industries. As a public shareholding company with revenues of more than $3.7 billion, it is supported by an asset-owned network of 41,500 multimedia containers, 4,000 drivers, 5,500 units of excess capacity and 29 terminals. Axis Group was founded in 1971 by Philip Yeager. The company was announced in 1996 and is traded on nasdaq. David Yeager, son of Philip Yeager, is chairman and CEO of Hub Group. The company is headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois. in 1971, Philip and Joyce Yeager founded the Hub Group (then known as Hub City Terminals) in Hensdale, Illinois. The company started for $10,000 and was located in a windowless one-room office above a flower shop. Philip Yeager, 43, resigned from his job at the Pennsylvania Railroad, where he worked for 19 years, to create the Hub Group. At the time of its formation, Hub City Terminals operated as a charger agent, a broker who was booking intermodal rail transport.
