F5, Inc. is an American company specializing in application services and application delivery network (ADN). F5 is headquartered in Seattle, Washington, with additional development, manufacturing, and management offices worldwide. F5 in view was originally based on a load balancing product, but has since expanded to include acceleration, application security, and DDoS defense. F5 company, originally named "F5 Labs", formerly branded "F5 Networks, Inc. " was founded in 1996. Currently its audience facing brands generally presents the company as just "F5". in 1997, F5 launched its first product, a download able-load edited budget called BIG-IP. The BIG-IP service is intended to reallocate server traffic away from overloaded servers. in June 1999, the company had an IPO, and was listed on nasdaq with the ffiv code. François Locoh-Donou replaced John McAdam as president and CEO on April 3, 2017.On May 3, 2017, F5 announced that it will move from its old waterfront headquarters near the center of Seattle to a new skyscraper in downtown Seattle called the F5 Tower. The move took place in early 2019.
