Boonie Bears (Simplified Chinese: 熊出没; traditional Chinese: 熊出沒; Benin: xióng chūmō, "Roaming Bears") is a Chinese animated brand appearing on multiple Chinese television platforms and stations, including Central China TV (CCTV) and Beijing TELEVISION Network (BTV). The series features two bears, Briar and Bramble, who are trying to stop Vic Logger from destroying their forest house. Bonnie Bears debuted in January 2012 and became the most popular children's show in China. More than 700 13-minute episodes have been produced to date. Series produced by Fantawild Holding. Although originally established in Mandarin, Bonnie Bears has been translated into other languages, such as English, Spanish, French, Russian, Tamil and Hindi (as Pablo Dablow on Great Magic).) It has now been distributed to 82 countries worldwide, partnering with Netflix, Sony and Disney. Fantawild produced six feature films in the brand Bonnie Bears. The first film based on the series titled Bonnie Bears: To The Rescue debuted in China on January 17, 2014. Second film, Bonnie Bears: Mystic Winter, released January 30, 2015. A third batch, Boonie Bears III, was released on January 16, 2016. Fourth film, Bonnie Beers: Fantasia, released January 28, 2017. The fifth film in the series, Boonie Bears: The Big Shrink, was released on February 16, 2018. The sixth installment, Boonie Bears: Blast into the Past, premiered in theaters across China on February 5, 2019. Bonnie Bears: The Journey of Homer is also a feature film and the seventh installment, Bonnie Bears: Wildlife, debuts on Netflix on December 4 2020.
