Trade ASML Holding
ASML Holdings N.V. is a Dutch company and is currently the world's largest supplier of imaging systems for the semiconductor industry. The company manufactures machines for the production of integrated circuits. The company is an element of the Euro Stoxx 50 and NASDAQ-100. photovoltaic machines manufactured by ASML are used in the production of computer chips. In these machines, patterns are visually photographed on a silicone chip covered with a film of light-sensitive (photonic) material. This procedure is repeated dozens of times on a single chip. The imaging device is then processed further to create actual electronic circuits on silicon. As of 2010, ASML owns 67 percent of global sales of lithography machines, with competition consisting of Ultratech, Canon and Nikon. as of 2011, its high-end TWINSCAN NXT:1950i system is used to produce features down to 32 nm (and forecast sits at 22 nm) at up to 200 chips per hour, using a water immersion lens and argon fluoride laser that produces light in a wavelength of 193 nm. As of 2011, the cost of a lithography machine is on average 27 million euros.
