Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, Inc. is a publicly traded American company that provides practices for doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare providers with practice management and electronic health record technology. Allscripts also provide products for patient engagement and care coordination, as well as financial technology and analytics. The company has more than 180,000 doctors users, products in 2,700 hospitals and 13,000 extended care organizations. Allscripts was founded in 1981 and is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. Located in Raleigh, North Carolina.In 2008, Allscripts has been integrated with the healthcare systems operations of its competitor, Macy's. In 2010, Allscripts-Misys merged with another healthcare IT competitor, Eclipsys, in a $1.3 billion deal. In October 2012, Allscripts announced plans to stop its small practice program, MyWay. The program did not meet federal requirements for EHR incentives and some practices that faced issues after the program was implemented. Allscripts offered a free upgrade to the professional suite platform as well as training on the new platform. In December 2012, four physician practices filed a class action suit against Allscripts for selling and later discontinuing MyWay EHR buggy. It is believed to be the first case of its kind. The parties reached a joint settlement agreement that was finally approved by the trial judge. With this first suit of this kind it became a reference for future cases in the industry. In March 2013, Allscripts acquired dbMotion, Ltd., a developer of system interfaces, data analysis tools and Jardogs LLC, a developer of a personal health record. In February 2020, Allscripts Sunrise™ was named the 2020 Best in KLAS-EMR Global Acute Care by KLAS Research. Also in February 2020, Allscripts and Manorama Infosolutions were involved in the provision of health information exchange services and population health management services in India and other emerging markets. In August 2020, Allscripts formed a partnership with The Sheba Medical Center of Israel.
